√ MU IEC61850 Ed.2.1 Certified !
KM Data Inc. is proud to announce that we have become the first SME to receive official certification
for the Sampled Value transmission of our Merging Unit based on the IEC 61850 Ed. 2.1 standard
for next-generation Process Bus-based digital substations.
While most domestic companies have obtained certification under the IEC 61850 Ed. 1.0 standard,
we have proven our technological prowess by achieving certification under the latest Ed. 2.1 standard.
Our technical capabilities related to Merging Units have already been recognized.
In 2022, we participated in the “Process Bus Network System Performance Verification” project
conducted by the Korea Electric Power Corporation Research Institute, where we developed and produced an SV Generator and a high-precision time synchronization measuring device to simulate various scenarios on the Process Bus.
In preparation for next-generation digital substations,
KM Data Inc. is not only developing Merging Units but also sequentially developing SV receiving IEDs and centralized IEDs.
We expect to advance field application technology proactively.
Since 2018, we have been developing and supplying IEDs for 170kV GIS, 154kV power transformers, and 25.8kV GIS for digital substations of the Korea Electric Power Corporation.
Additionally, we have completed the development of a mixed operation system for digital substations, 154kV transformer protection IEDs, 154kV transmission line protection IEDs, and digital relays.
We will continue our active research and development and product production to contribute to the growth
of the next-generation digital substation market.
